Artist Bio
I’m DeAnna Backel. My husband, Mike, and our 2 sons haves lived Madison for 20 years. My oldest, however, now vm lives & works vm in Atlanta, GA.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art, w/ a concentration in Drawing & Painting from Belhaven University. During that time I served as Secretary of the Art Department under Professor Whittington & as a Receptionist for Bryant Galleries. Since then I’ve worked as an Interior Designer with Ethan Allen Interiors and then for others as we moved. I’ve worked as a Visual Display Merchandiser for Dillard’s and a freelance Graphic Designer.
