Artist Bio
Elke Briuer primarily uses the water media (watercolor and acrylic) to paint and loves to experiment with a variety of "things to paint on." She has works on paper, wood and roofing felt. Her life as a Naturalized Citizen living in Mississippi, but of Hesse, Germany, origin, is amazingly and covertly expressed in her art. She holds a MSComm Degree from Mississippi College and has taken instruction from the most amazing teaching/working artists in the U.S., Dr. Merle Wachter, Bro. Cletus Behlmann, Bob Burridge, Pat Regan, Richard Stephens, M. Douglas Walton and many more. Elke has entered her work of art in juried events and has received many awards. Her art was used in the movie "Grind House;" "My Generation" Trailer; TV Production "From Dusk to Dawn." Elke wrote and designed the informative booklet “The Young Scientist's Introduction to Wetlands.“
